Saturday May 15th, 2010 could not have been a brighter, prettier day for a wedding! Kristen and Frederico’s 11AM wedding meant we could use that gorgeous light all day long, and we did. Bright and early we met up with our bride and groom to witness them preparing for their day. Frederico and his father are clearly the best of friends and both of these guys were going to enjoy the ceremony ahead. Our groom was a picture of calm bravery…and no (hardly any) butterflies to speak of! We shot a few formals in the gardens on the hotel grounds and before we knew it the limosine had arrived.
First Baptist Church was filled with late morning light for Kristen and Frederico…the weather being that one thing you just can’t control, it seems like luck is already shining on them. These two love each other and it shows. Even with First Baptist’s “big room” feel, their vows seemed intimate…maybe just between friends.
Vows, kissing, more photos with family, champagne toast, back in the limo and off… …to shoot a few formals before their official re-introduction as husband and wife!
Fratello’s, as it turns out, is an excellent location for an afternoon reception. Our newlyweds clearly enjoy the company of great friends and family. The dance floor was alive with a fun, vibrant (and completely unselfconscious) mix of people! That’s the kind of thing that makes our job a good time…that and a few frames we think are classics from the click of the shutter! Those don’t happen without the right light or without a couple of lovebirds newlyweds to stand in it. Let’s not forget…Fratello’s food was fantastic…the dessert was positively humbling!
Saturday went by in a flash (mostly at 1/125 second)…they always do when people are having a great time, the spirit of the day is animated…the weather rocked!…and two people just happened to have this beautiful wedding and we were there for it! …always an honor to be a part of something so special.
