Hardware

My setup begins with two state of the art Canon digital cameras, one main and one backup, along with a variety of Canon lenses. Multiple battery packs are used so that I'm always ready to shoot no matter how long the wedding runs. Images are regularly transferred to a portable storage device and immediately backed up to ensure we have multiple copies of all photos. Images are also checked as I shoot and then again during the transfer to verify that every scene is captured correctly.
Profoto & Photogenic gear
For portraits, whether be a family, high school seniors, children, models or a wedding, I have a portable studio that includes a background system 11' by 12' with a Photoflex Umbrella Kit. That Includes: 2 - 45" Umbrellas, 2 - 8' Light Stands and three Canon 580ex strobes. The strobes can also be used for the reception lighting, providing powerful illumination for even the darkest rooms. Multichannel digital radio triggers are used for strobes. This method prevents guest cameras from interfering with the professional photography and vice versa.

Software

Capturing the photographs is just the beginning of the unlimited creative possibilities using a digital workflow. Using the latest imaging software, I can create everything from traditional to magazine-style albums where each page is a montage of your favorite photographs.a possible montage

Special effects, such as soft focus and glow, sepia tone, black-and-white, infra-red, and partial colorization to name a few, can all be done during post-processing. Even realistic three dimensional frames can be rendered entirely in software. As we do all of this work in-house, we can work directly with the bride and groom to give them exactly the look they want for your albums. Doing all the post-processing work in-house also allows us to get the photos to the bride and groom incredibly fast.
