The reception is what all everyone looks forward to after the wedding. You want to make sure it’s not only memorable for you, but for the guests as well. Below you will find a list of unique and more adventurous ideas that just might make you say “I Do” all over again.

It’s always a thrill when you don’t know what’s coming next. Try and surprise your guests, or even your significant other with a performance by a band, or something totally different like aerialists or salsa dancers. You could even get real creative and have a firework show. Leave little hints in the invitation to pique interest and get more of an audience to attend.
Another idea would be to have a scavenger hunt, or maybe something like a ropes course or climbing wall for everyone to experiment with while they chat. This could be great if you have an outdoor venue. The photographer could get some unique candid pictures, and it’s entertaining for the couple and guest alike.
How fun would it be to swing in on a rope swing as the new husband and wife? Or perhaps you have golf carts or a small walk for guests to go up to where you’re at. Maybe you’re both into the dance scene and you go for the full ballroom experience. Instead of a traditional reception line, try something that’s going to get people moving, talking, and having fun.
For the kid in all of us, what better way to bring some excitement and thrill to a reception? If you have a big family with lots of kids this is also a great way to keep them entertained while older guests get a chance to catch up.
Traditional is boring. Why not rent out a food truck for a little extra flair? After the drinks start flowing, and the dancing gets going, what better way to feed that hunger than a food truck?
Most likely you will have plenty of friends from high school and college at your reception. Why not take it back to those days and bring out the flip cup and the beer pong? You’ll definitely be getting some high fives for this one.
With a photo booth, you can relieve all the great moments and memories of your special day. You can order props so your guests can have a hay day in the booth, and you’ll be left with a lot of special memories for your wedding books.
Hopefully these ideas will help with the planning of your thrill-seeking reception. Don’t forget to be true to you and have fun!
